Stranger Things Season 2

Stranger Things Season 2 – Was It Worth The Hype?

Set a year after the events of the first season, Stranger Things Season 2 (or Stranger Things 2, as it has been named) shows the people of Hawkins trying to get back to normal life. But Will’s life is not normal at all. He is having episodes that are not just in his head. Mike is still trying to contact Eleven and Lucas and Dustin have invited a new member to join their party. Things are about to go in the total opposite direction of normal for the citizens of Hawkins. Who will save the day this time?

I had not intended to finish the second season of Stranger Things in one day but that’s exactly what I did. In fact, I finished it in less than 24 hours. The first three episodes were slow (not boring) compared to the rest of the season. But once things pick up the pace, it would be hard for you to stop watching until you have finished the season. There’s an investigative journalist interested in Russian spies, there is a monster, a mother-daughter reunion, a sisters reunion, a death, and some really awesome wholesome moments. But don’t let that trick you into thinking that this season has fun moments. It does not. It has pretty intense sense. Almost felt like a thriller. It will keep you on the edge until the end. Bless Netflix for always giving us all the episodes at once. Otherwise, all of us must have been pulling our hair at the end of each episode.

I think we had already established after the first season that everyone in the show is an amazing actor. But actor Noah Schnapp did not get a proper chance to show his talents in the first season and he has compensated for all the lost time (from being in the woods AKA the upside down) in the second season. Now we can say that Noah is as good an actor as his on-screen mom. New additions to the cast have also acted quite well.

In case it still isn’t clear, I loved the second season. I am so glad that most of the questions we had after watching season one were answered in this season.

Rating:

I gave Stranger Things a rating of 8 after the first season but after watching this season I have upgraded it to 9/10

Season Three?

Throughout the season I thought there was too much happening and it might be the last season. But by the end of it, some new questions had arisen to let us know that there’s more. The Duffer Brothers plan to make five seasons of Stranger Things in total. So we can be sure that there will be a third season. And fourth and fifth season.

Still trying to figure out.
